Samir K Brahmachari

Genome Biology and Analytics

Samir Brahmachari has interests in various aspects of DNA structure and genome analysis. At IGIB, he has established a research group interested in the genetics of complex human disorders. He has also contributed to the discovery of anti-viral microRNA and used computational genome analysis to identify fundamental principles of protein structure.

Anti-viral microRNA

He has provided leadership in various scientific programmes of the Institute including the ongoing projects on small RNA mediated regulation, pharmacogenomics and Indian Genome Variation initiative. Currently, he leads the Open Source Drug Discovery (OSDD) programme.
